Dr. Rhee is a board certified neurosurgeon and has fellowship experience in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery, spinal deformity correction, as well as spinal oncology. His interests include but are not limited to, the treatment of degenerative disc disease, spinal deformities, brain and spine oncology, brain and spine stereotactic radiosurgery, cervical disc arthroplasty, and Chiari malformation.

Dr. Rhee graduated with honors in chemistry and history from SUNY Binghamton. He completed his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. His education continued on to Georgetown University Hospital where he completed his residency in Neurological Surgery as well as a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. In addition, he completed a junior instructorship at Johns Hopkins Hospital focusing on the treatment of complex spine pathology, spinal deformity, and spinal oncology. Dr. Rhee has clinical research experience and is published in peer reviewed journals, as well as neurosurgical textbooks. With his expertise, he teaches courses in spinal surgery to orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons alike. He holds membership in the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
